Art Twitticism Voice of TacitnessTask: ‘#ArtTwitticism’ is live art review conducted in a gallery space using Twitter as a public note-book. Students visit an exhibition of their own choosing and live-tweet their thoughts about the art.

  • Learning Objective: Use concise language in describing, analysing and interpreting an art exhibition.
  • Digital Literacy: Utilise character-limited discussion platform. Understand writing within a public and participative space.
  • Evidence of student learning: This task promoted high levels of original thinking. Working independently, the students took greater risks with their ideas than in class. The results were informally reviewed by 2 international art critics who judged over 60% as demonstrating good to very good levels of interpretive ability.
